24 Weeks!

Six months!! Can you believe it? We've reached viability, though I really hope she stays put for a lot longer.

The baby is now the size of a cantaloupe, a little over a foot long and about 20 oz.

The baby is still super active. She's kicking more than she sleeps, which is just fine! 😉

I've gained three lbs. Officially time to get my butt to the gym.

22 Weeks

We are 5 1/2 months in, about 3 1/2 to go!

The baby is now the size of a squash, approx a foot long and about a lb.

The baby is kicking me like crazy all the time! I love it. 😉

I've gained a lb. Sigh. It was bound to happen.
Bump is still pointy, but oh well.
Baby girl loved the Army/Navy game. All those kicks paid off! Navy whooped butt and won for the 12th straight year, leading to them winning the Commander and Cheifs trophy!

20 weeks (super late!)

So sorry! Life has just been crazy around here. 😉

We are officially "half baked!" Even though unofficially I hit it in the middle of last week since were going to 39 weeks.

The baby is now the size of a banana, approx 6 1/2" long and 10 1/2 oz.

The baby is super active, which I'm very thankful for. ☺️

I'm holding steady weight wise. Completely back up to pre pregnancy and hovering.

And for those who didn't see on IG or FB..
The girls are pretty excited to be gaining another sister. 😊

Here's baby girls profile pic.

And here's my halfway there bump. 😉

18 Weeks

Life has been hectic in the Harber house, that's for sure! We started potty training the girls last weekend in hopes I can get them out of diapers when this LO comes.  Kara is doing great. She has only had one accident in the last four days. Kate is still pretty hit or miss. But considering were only a week in I think she's doing pretty well.
And come on, how cute are those booties? 😉

I'm doing pretty good. It's been a stressful week, but I knew it would be. My heartburn has already started, which is not fun..but what can you do?

The baby is now the size of a sweet potatoe, approx 5 1/2" and 7 oz.

Idk if I mentioned it last time but our anatomy scan is set for Dec 2nd. I think we've decided we'd like to know the sex, so baby willing we should know in about two more weeks.

Here's the bump, I feel super pointy at this stage but I bet ill round out soon.
We had our first stranger comment this week too. ☺️ I guess I finally look pregnant and not just chubby! Lol

16 weeks!

Whoo hoo! I've hit the four month mark! I'm feeling less awkward about how big my bump is. Lol.

The baby is now the size of an avocado, approx 4 1/2" long and 3 1/2 oz.

I felt the baby actually kick one of the girls last week. It was pretty neat. :)

Last week I had a pretty weird incident. Last tues when I went to lay down for bed, out of nowhere this intense pain/pressure hit me. It was from the middle of my ribs to my navel and wrapped all the way around. I couldn't lay, sit, or stand. I seriously almost went to the ER. But, I waited it out and called my OB first thing the following in the morning. The pressure was more intense, and now accompanied by nausea/vomiting. So my OB basically pokes on my stomach, and then tells he thinks I have a strain of flu that's been going around. Yuck.

However, he told me to call if it wasn't better the next day. It wasn't. They sent me immediately for an us. The tech spent almost the entire time searching my gall bladder, pancreas, and liver. My OB had me come in for bloodwork too. That night, was rough. I was so uncomfortable it was unreal.

The following day, it was gone! I was so relieved. My OB had me come back in just to once me over, and to talk about the us/bloodwork results. Come to find out, I had a gall bladder stone and had passed it.

Apparently it's not totally uncommon for pregnant ladies to have this happen. He said sometimes a woman that's had completely asymptotic stones, will pass them out of nowhere. Weird. I had no idea. Chalk it up to another weird side effect of pregnancy I guess.

During the u/s we did get a little peak at the bambino. Thankfully the little booger did completely fine through the whole ordeal.

And here's the bump in all it's glory. ;)

14 Weeks

The bambino is now the size of a lemon. Approx 3 1/2", and weighing 1 1/2 oz.

I'm still feeling little pokes here and there. Mostly when I lay flat. (Baby did not care for yoga yesterday! Lol) I can feel my uterus in all it's fluffy glory now too. Being thinner is a definite plus! Lol.

I've consistently held onto a lb a gained earlier this week. I'll attribute this to mostly feeling better/eating more.

Here's my bump. No ones been brave enough to ask me yet but I can see people staring more.
Just for fun, a 14 week comparison shot

13 Weeks

Just a few more days and I graduate to the second tri! Whoo hoo! We're celebrating this by announcing later today. I'm going to use these pics to do so:

I love the girls faces in that one! Hilarious!

So I'm 13wks now, and the baby is the size of a peach.

I felt flutters for the first time yesterday! Again today too. I'm attributing feeling them earlier to knowing what it feels like, and being 25 lbs thinner. Lol.

Speaking of: still holding steady weight wise, but the belly is starting to become apparent.

Oh! I got a Doppler for us to use at home too. That is the best sound ever! (Besides baby laughs. ;) )

Twelve Weeks

I'm almost there! Almost done with the first tri. :)

This week the baby's the size of a plum, approx 2.1". It has all it's major features/organs. From here on out bambino will be gaining weight and getting ready to meet the world.

I was feeling better last week, but this week it hit me hard again. :(

I'm staying steady weight wise. But I can tell I've lost in some areas (ex legs/butt) but the belly is definitely starting to make itself known.

Here's the first "bump pic." Taken sometime last week. :)

Ten Weeks

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. After my last update, we had a death in the family. We decided to go home for the funeral, and blogging just wasn't in my mind.

Anyhow, I'm officially 10 weeks today. At our last appt doc was able to measure the bambino. It was measuring a little smaller than what I had thought, so he moved my due date to the 18th. However, it's all relative anyway. He confirmed Ill have to have a RCS unfortunately.

The baby is now the size of a prune.

Biggest accomplishments of the little one would be graduation from embryo to fetus. It now has a lot of its major features. At our u/s we got to see its little arms/legs. It looked very gummy bear esqe to me. ;)

I'm feeling the same. Good days and bad days still.

I'm holding steady weight wise. Haven't lost anymore, but not gaining thankfully. The blump is OUT of control though. I seriously look like I did when I was about 4 months with the girls. When I know it's legit baby I'll start the bump pics.

Here's the munchkin:

For those who aren't used to looking at u/s pics, it's still pretty simple. The black area is the baby's sack. The baby's head it's to the upper left of it, with the little arms below that. See what I mean? Total squishy gummy bear. Lol.

Seven Weeks

I'm 7 weeks today! (Still going off ovulation.)

The baby is now the size of a blueberry.

It has developed arms and legs but they're still very paddle like at the moment.

I'm still feeling like crap, but it's validation that I'm pregnant. So for that I'm thankful.

I'm down two more lbs. Mostly because I just can't eat.

Now for the good stuff. Our us on Mon went well. There's just one little bean in there. (That we know of. I still can't shake the feeling it's more than one still.) we saw the little heartbeat. It was hard to make out, but definitely there thankfully. My OB asked me to come back in two weeks so they can accurately measure it and solidify an estimated due date. (Not that it will matter. I'm likely going to have a RCS around 38 weeks.) Our next appt is Sept 11th.
